Please keep Tara (Kathy & Vern's daughter) in your prayers. She had emergency surgery mid-March to remove a mass from her colon. Due to the extended anesthesia, pain medications and a few complications, and her body is struggling to adjust back to normal. Tara needs to be able to begin eating solid food and walking more to regain strength. ......

Angie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer 7 years ago. She is getting new scans tomorrow to see how well the three medications are working. Please keep her in your prayers. ......

Bill Cook passed away after an extended hospitalization. A visitation will be held at Oakcrest Funeral Home in Algona on Tuesday, March 31st, 4:00-7:00pm. Lavern was diagnosed with colon cancer some time ago and has been receiving palliative care. In March 2026 he began sleeping more and having more bad days, leading to needing more care than he was able to get in his home. Lavern has moved into the nursing home and began receiving hospice care.......
