Prayers of healing for Bernie M. She had cataract surgery on her right eye two weeks ago that had a minor complication requiring a second surgery, which occurred 3/31 resulting in some pain. She is scheduled for cataract surgery on her left eye next week.

 David, Donna M's brother, has been diagnosed with colon cancer and has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments since November.  The chemo is working but wreaking havoc on his body.  He will have one more chemo treatment on April 13 and then wait 6 weeks to have surgery in June to remove the tumor.  We hope and pray that he can feel better, get some energy back, gain some weight and build back his strength so his recovery from surgery is easier.

Julie and her mom are struggling and needing God's powerful healing hand strength to help them through some difficult hardships. 

Please keep Tara (Kathy & Vern's daughter) in your prayers. She had emergency surgery mid-March to remove a mass from her colon. Due to the extended anesthesia, pain medications and a few complications, and her body is struggling to adjust back to normal. Tara needs to be able to begin eating solid food and walking more to regain strength.

We pray for marriages that are struggling. May they be strengthened in their faith and love for each other, allow them to give forgiveness for grievances and seek forgiveness, and give them guidance in their future through you.

Angie was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer 7 years ago. She is getting new scans tomorrow to see how well the three medications are working. Please keep her in your prayers.

Bill Cook passed away after an extended hospitalization. A visitation will be held at Oakcrest Funeral Home in Algona on Tuesday, March 31st, 4:00-7:00pm. Bill's funeral service will be held at First Lutheran Church on Wednesday, April 1st, at 11:00am. Please keep the family in your prayers.

Lavern was diagnosed with colon cancer some time ago and has been receiving palliative care. In March 2026 he began sleeping more and having more bad days, leading to needing more care than he was able to get in his home. Lavern has moved into the nursing home and began receiving hospice care.
Lavern passed away on March 26. Please keep the family in your prayers. The funeral will be held on Wednesday at 10am in Tripoli.

David is awaiting biopsy results of a tumor near the bile duct and will be having surgery to remove his gall bladder due to stones. David has been the primary caretaker of their father.
Update: Biopsy results on his gallbladder were inconclusive so an MRI will be completed 3/20. 

Don was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma, which is a rare, aggressive form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma. He continues to undergo chemotherapy treatment at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines.

John had a cardiac ablation on February 27.
Update: the procedure went well! John is feeling well and no longer having symptoms

Shian has testicular cancer that has spread. He has had two surgeries and has begun chemotherapy for the tumors that are not able to be surgically removed.

Jenn is receiving aggressive cancer treatment. Although she is currently doing well, she could use more prayers to keep her going.

Karen has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She had a lumpectomy in February. In April Karen will begin chemotherapy treatments in Mason City every other week for 4 months. She will then have 3 weeks of daily radiation treatment in Mason City.

Please pray for "K", who is going through a difficult time in his life.

Please keep Pam U, sister of Kathy N, and the family in your prayers. They found that Pam's lung cancer has spread to her liver.

Joan M (Connie & Dale) will be having surgery tomorrow, Monday. Please pray for a safe successful surgery and quick recovery. We also pray for safe travels for Connie, who will be helping during the recovery.

Donna M's brother, Dennis, passed away this afternoon. Please keep the family in your prayers.

Tim L’s mother passed away on February 25th. Please keep the family in your prayers.

Donna M's father, Harold, passed peacefully away on Sunday morning surrounded by his wife and children. Please keep the family in your prayers.

Please keep Dale (Linda's husband) in your prayers. He is currently hospitalized in Algona and receiving IV antibiotics for an infection, but may require surgery.
Update: : Dale is home from the hospital! He will have to have another scan in the near future to double check if there are any infection areas growing, but they are hopeful it is all cleared up.
